Dr. Dan Hayden

Optometrist

A Quincy native, Dan Hayden, O.D. is a graduate of the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor of Science in Biology.  Dr. Hayden received his Doctor of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, Illinois.  Dr. Hayden started his optometry career at a private practice in La Grange, Illinois before relocating back to his hometown of Quincy, IL in 1999.  In 2009, Dr. Hayden branched out on his own to open SPECS in Quincy with his vision of an optometry practice offering a great patient experience in a relaxed comfortable environment.

Dr. Hayden is a member of the Illinois Optometry Association and the American Optometric Association.  He provides family vision care and specializes in contact lens fitting, including bifocal, multifocal, and ortho-k, and is the area’s only Certified Wave Designer.  He also provides pre- and post-operative care for Lasik and cataract surgery patients.

Carrie Wallace

Office Manager

A Quincy native, Carrie Wallace has been the heartbeat of SPECS since 2010. As Office Manager, she has navigated countless industry changes over the years, truly acting as the “glue” that holds our practice together. Carrie’s genuine love for our patients shines through in everything she does. Outside of the office, her world revolves around her family—she is completely devoted to her husband, Dan, and their phenomenal son, Landon.
